Over the past year, our team has been hard at work recreating and refactoring the Box Out app. There are so many things we want to do to make it better for our customers, but we needed to tidy up a few things first. We’re happy to announce that we’re ready to begin rolling out a new version of Box Out today!
First off, fear not, we haven’t changed much about how you’ll use the app on a day-to-day basis. All the same features you know and love are there, and generally, still in the places you know them to be currently.
What you will notice, and there are several under the hood improvements that you won’t notice, is a fresher look, better typography, and more streamlined visuals.
A fresh look
A fresh coat of paint always makes something look better, and our update is no exception. Clearer text, better colors and contrast, and more space to do your work is built in from the start.
Enhanced uploads
Uploads got a huge amount of attention in this update. Rebuilt from the ground up, the uploads section will be faster and easier to use than ever before. You can now search by filename to filter uploads, and both share and un-share uploads to all teams. Upload progress is clearer, and the uploads section will be fast even with thousands of uploads.
Even more reliable graphics creation
We’ve enhanced the graphic creation interface to allow more room for data entry and more reliable timeout detection. When sharing a graphic, you can also email to more than one person at a time.
Motion graphic previews
Everywhere there’s a motion graphic, from your graphics screen, to browsing templates, you can now click play and preview the graphic right from that page. No need to click through just to see how it looks.
How do I get it?
The new Box Out Sports is in beta, and we’ll be rolling out an option to enable it starting today with our Premium level subscribers. We’ll enable the toggle for Plus and Basic customers in the coming weeks. To enable New Box Out once you’ve been opted in, just click the toggle at the bottom left of your screen.
If you run up against a bug, please let us know using the ‘Talk to Us’ link. If it keeps you from getting your work done, you can always disable New Box Out using the toggle.
The future of Box Out Sports
Most importantly, the new system was designed specifically for making future changes easier and faster for our team. There’s so much we want to build, and this framework will help us get there. We couldn’t be more excited about the future of Box Out Sports!
